My Wife, My Love

Love hiking with her. It was a cold day today and I noticed the sun playing with her face hidden behind the hood so had to take a pic.

Fancy Ice

I saw this and was amazed. How the ice froze like this I have no idea, but I love it.

Milkweed

Some pictures of the milkweed seeds. They are beautiful in there own ugly way.
       The milkweed plant leaves are a big food source for the monarch caterpillar. The leaves have toxins in them that the caterpillar consumes and they stay in the body after it turns into a butterfly to repel predators from eating it.

Compton's Mill

This used to be an old flour mill. Built in 1872 it was used until the 1940's. I drove past here many times and finally decided to stop and take pictures. Really like how well it is taken care of.

 

Ferns and hiking

One of the places we hiked. Nothing spectacular but still ok.

  

Blue Spring

I finally made it to this spring. It has beautiful blue water. The hike back to it is two or three mile but it's quite worth it.
